Project Description
The building at Parklaan 81 in Eindhoven has been renovated and transformed into a sustainable new office environment.
Renovation and Interior Design
The paintwork has been completely renewed, and the facade has been thoroughly cleaned. In line with the architect's design, a new layout has been implemented by installing metal stud walls, glass walls and removing existing walls. Additionally, a completely new felt and gypsum ceiling has been installed. Modern restrooms have been created, various pantries have been set up, and custom furniture has been placed. Two atriums have been added to establish a direct connection between the floors. The electrical and mechanical installations have been fully renewed based on the new layout. Wood rot and woodworm in several trusses of the roof structure have been removed, and the existing asbestos has been completely abated
Enhancement of sustainability
The window frames are equipped with high-efficiency glass (HR++), which significantly improves the energy efficiency of the building. The cavity walls and the roof have also been fitted with new insulation, providing better thermal protection and reducing heat loss. This not only contributes to the comfort inside but also helps lower energy costs.
Additionally, the electrical and plumbing installations have been completely renewed to meet modern efficiency and functionality requirements. The thermal envelope of the building has been further improved by insulating the interior with secondary walls. This ensures that the building is better able to withstand temperature fluctuations. Thanks to these extensive measures, the property is not only more energy-efficient but also significantly more comfortable and sustainable.
